A one day conference and reception to celebrate

United Nations International Volunteer Day

Liverpool 08 Drinks Reception: 4.15 pm - 6pm

This conference will highlight best practice in engaging with under-represented communities and encouraging these priority groups to get involved in main stream volunteering.

WORKSHOPS:

There will be a series of innovative workshops to:

• Discuss and debate issues regarding engagement of priority groups and develop recommendations for future volunteer recruitment strategies
• Highlight the measurable achievements of the Liverpool 08 Welcome programme and discuss how this can be replicated in other regions
• Showcase the best practice systems developed via the GoldStar Volunteer programme in terms of reaching out to priority groups
• Presentation of a 'Volunteering for All' toolkit highlighting achievements of six 'Volunteering for All' projects e.g. Hi8us Digital Storytelling

These workshops will help to share best practice, encourage agencies to work together, forge new partnerships and spread the word that volunteering is for all.

Workshop sessions include:

1.   Cultural Volunteering and the Voluntary Arts

Join us between 4.15 and 5 pm to celebrate the fantastic work that Liverpool 08 has developed in encouraging over 1,000 volunteers to play a full and active part in the Year of Culture and have a chance to network with other delegates and speakers.

FEE:

£90 plus VAT, which includes all day access, conference papers, lunch, refreshments and the drinks reception.

The fee does not include travel or accommodation. 

There is an additional fee charged for those paying by card to cover some of the processing costs charged by paypal.  To avoid this you may prefer to be invoiced, which will enable you to pay by cheque or BACs transfer.
